I always like a good racing game. These are the same people (Blackrock Studios) that made Pure. Pure is a great game for the PS3 and looks amazing.

Here's to hoping it's good! :toast:

I wouldn't doubt it's good, I think this game will be on my list of games to get for the new PC later this year.

    Games for new machine
    Split Second
Street Fighter 4 (Super if it ever comes to PC)
HAWX (Demo was playable on my current machine)
    BattleField Bad Company 2
    COD WAW
    More to come...

the demo was less then impressive, the driving felt really stale, unresponsive and heavy.
note: i've been playing a lot of grid and dirt 2 f or the last while so that may be why, but blur felt fine to race.

Yea I've been watching this game for months. Saw a video for it last year sometime. I like the Burnout Games, didn't like Paradise much though, and this seems to be the same type of things except with more shit blowing up (which is awesome). I hope it's as good as it looks

It looks kinda good, but it's one of those games that I will wait for release and opinions before I consider buying it.

I have the Spit Second for PC and while the game is fun the 30FPS cap sucks major azz and just about kills the game for me....I am going to try gaming from 10' away tonight and see if that helps any...After being used to 100+ FPS in games it is really rough going to a 30FPS game.:shadedshu

but again the game play is fun!

purchased the game threw direct2drive.com and used my $15 credit from spending $75 during the spring sale.I doubt I would have paid $39.99 for it ....or rather I wouldnt have now that I know about the 30FPS cap!

Really? Im running it on the 360 and its fast and smooth. Is it a console port?

not sure if its ported, but yes it has smooth game play and is fun but on PC the FPS are cap at 30FPS so its not that its not smooth its just not pampering me at 100+ FPS....things just do not seem as clear is what I notice the most...So I am thinking at 10+ feet away from my monitor I may not notice as much...Or better yet a patch to remove the frames cap.

Please forgive my ignorance (Ive been out of the gaming PC loop for a while) but how does this frame cap affect image quality? You said it ran smooth didnt you? With your nice setup, if its looking horrible, I bet thats because its ported :(

Actually I have no idea why the 30FPS makes the whole thing less appealing to my eyes... , but it does.;)

If you havent been able to run it any higher than 30fps, maybe your finding it harsh to look at because the graphics are actually bad on the PC version? It looks pretty good on the 360, but its not mind blowing lol.

30FPs looks very different to 60FPS, for those of us who are used to 60. Even if the visuals are smooth and 'stutter free' it just feels slow.

to be honest , for me at least this game is poor , compared to dirt 2,grid etc , not a patch on burnout either , gfx not that good , sound is hmmm at best and the actual crash effect/damage to your car is almost laughable.

when u think grid is at least 2 years old this would be an improvement but no its not , try the demo on the pc and save yourself some money i say , unless its going very cheap i wouldnt bother with it

No PC demo. FU developers. Now i'll have to download war_ez version just to see how the game plays. Sometimes i'm thinking this is like artificial increasing of so called "pirated downloads" by the developers or publishers. Because i sure ain't stupid to buy any game blindly. And then they rely on ppl like me to brag about piracy. Well, then give us the damn PC demo as well.
