As it wasn't bad enough with the gpu shortage. A new crypto currentcy relies on storage space to be minned. If this crypto currentcy going to be a success. We may also face a storage shortage in a near future. Great so now cpu, gpu and maybe soon storage will be hard to get and overpriced.

Yeah, I too vaguely remember something about this. Might even have been the same coin. I don't think it really took off.

Just my opinion, but I think crypto-currency is going to fall at some point, and fall hard. Its unregulated, overvalued, not backed by anything, and there's too much criminal activity tied up in it for it not to eventually become regulated just like any other currency. Another "Bernie Madoff" made off with alot of money:

I know the pc component manufacturers(i.e. graphics cards) won't boost production to meet the extra demand by constructing more factories based on speculated projected sales that is in turn based on the uncertainty of crypto. In a sense, its like asking them to invest in crypto-currency, albeit indirectly, while shouldering a larger part of the risk: reduced demand, cost of unused facilities, surplus effects on sales of future products, etc.
