SSD RAID 0 or not?

The time is finally upon me to bring myself into the age of SSDs properly. In both cases I am planning on putting just my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit) and a few essential programs (Office, Browser, AV, etc..).

I have two options for moving to Solid State:

1. RAID 0 two (2) OCZ Vertex 30gb drives together. These are original Vertex drives (not 2 or 3) and according to SSDLife they are at about 79% health.

2. Use a single OCZ Solid 60gb drive. SSDLife: 97%

My objectives are 1. speed without an inordinate/complicated hassle and 2. Efficiency long-term. My specs are those listed under my primary machine: BlackDeath. I will be using my motherboard's RAID controls.

In either case I plan on simply selling the other SSD(s). For my storage I plan on using 5 1.5tb HDDs in RAID 5 (an ordeal for another thread I guarantee you!)

Anything else I can add? Just ask. I am asking simply for your input, commentary, tales of triumph (or disaster), and most importantly advice.
