I would definately get the Raptors, simply because you get more storage space whilst paying less than half the price. Two Raptors is RAID is already crazy fast.

If you've got more money than you could possibly spend, getting the SSDs will be a faster solution...

one intel 80gb ssd blew away my 3 300gb velociraptors in raid 0 if that helps

I own both.

I currently have an Intel X25-M as my OS/Apps drive and i use my Vraptor for Games only. My system boot WAY faster vs the VR and its dead silent ...

+ the everyday use is also faster. Everything is so reactive.

Okay, noise doesn't concern me. I'm leaning towards SSD for space as well. I mean actual LxWxH space. I have my 640GB for storage, and that's plenty for me.
