SSD-Z is a new utility tool, that displays condensed information about your solid state drives and other disk devices.

It's currently in beta, as we're working on gathering more data from different systems, as well as finalizing the features.

Looks nice. I will give this a try here soon. I think it could replace hd tune for me. Does it have a simple disc health check like hdtune?

Nice, I'll have a closer look soon
Is there an upload feature so those who use it can add to the data base?

Edit: Well that went well :shadedshu:, I extracted to my Download folder then opened it, It then opened and instantly froze my computer which needed a hard off then restart.
I was expecting some sort of installation package with a desktop icon and maybe something in the start menu.

Same happened to mine, perhaps they aren't in the database yet, due to their age?
Pretty sure I was missing the info from the same fields on the initial screen for Device.

Pretty sure GPU-Z pulls information from the TPU GPU Database. As such, I imagine an SSD database is in the works.

Wow, that intel SSD has been powered on for over a hundred years. I'm impressed.

Mine came back status failing too, I'd post a screen shot but nothing was responsive when it opened and I had to power down and restart.

Edit: tried it in two other systems and all three are reported as failing Hard Drives, one is shown as an SSD when it is a SATA drive, or maybe they just have the icon wrong for that brand?
Samsung HM321HI has the SSD icon.
At least it worked and all tabs were functional on two of them.

edited the post to include screenshots from the intel SSD toolbox, so the devs can figure out why its reading differently.

That sounds strange, definitely not suppose to happen. Do you happen to have an external device, USB, network, printer, or something similar?

Nothing plugged in, I also tried it with all programs and windows closed and it froze the computer, even the keyboard wouldn't function.

It does not. Only recently our GPUDB editor has started looking at GPU-Z submissions to add new devices to "his" database.

I think that may be a general fault with the software as I don't have an Intel harddrive.
I have Samsung (sata), Patriot Pyro (SSD) and a Seagate (SATA) all three are reported as failing

tried it out, it shows my WD red hard drive and immediately locks up the system afterwards. I have to hard reboot to get back into windows, I do have an external usb hard drive that I've tried to launch the program with and without it attached and it produces the same problem. no error reports show up in the event log at all, the system just acts as if it blue screened without actually blue screening. let me know if i can help any further i can provide a dxdiag device dump if you need it.

Just put up a small update. Most of the issues reported so far should be dealt with.

Those crazy high power on hours values for Intel drives are no longer marked as a failed attribute. This is just a weird quirk for some Intel SDDs, and doesn't have any impact on the health.

As for those who experienced an odd system hang, could I convince you try it out again please :) I have a feeling it was related to some long timeouts on the debug tab. I've removed those suspects from the debug tab, and the debug tab is no longer shown by default.
