SSRI anti-depressants may help significantly in treating Alzheimer's

    The study was done in mice however the amyloid beta load in normal people was also measured and they found that the amount of a-beta in people on SSRI antidepressants was significantly lower.

    Amyloid beta is the protein that builds up in the brains of Alzheimer victims and is believed to cause the progressive cell death characteristic of the disease.
