a dual-barrel shotgun as a side-arm? whoa, now, that thing has a butt for a reason. a sidearm needs to be fireable{sp?} with one hand in any orientation. a desert eagle will break your wrist when fired at certain angles, which is why it's never used as a side-arm. a shotgun won't fare much better in the real world.

Indeed it has a butt for a reason, but at the same time like I say its small and light enough to not need carrying on your back, hence why I changed it to fit into the sidearm category. What I would really like to do is make it so certain pistols can be dual weilded. Can anyone dig up any info on how that can be done? It looks possible and I already played with a few paramaters but I have no idea how to make it "work"

I imagine dual pistols would appear to be one pistol with double the firepower untill you modded some skins

Perhaps.. doing a bit of asking around to get dual wielding proper would take quite a bit of work, and so far only the russian modders really know how to get that kind of thing working. If anyone wants to step up and see if they can figure out how to do it, let me know

Beta 2.5 is almost ready. I enabled something called "scheduled" in the weapon files, which has a description of "option for alife simulator". No idea what it does, but sounds very interesting. I also balanced out the H&K G36 a little so it sits much better in firepower values between the SG550 and the Groza.

More changes for beta 2.5, pending the authors go-ahead there will be a repair mod for weapons and armour integrated into my mod, and weapons equipped with silencers with have a lower noise output. Also pending another authors permission there will be new skins for various weapons and a few new armour skins Getting big this mod aint it?

I was looking around for the dual-weilding stuff, and someone told me that, if possible, see if you can steal the skins from a different game and stick them in there. Still, probably going to be about as hard as making a new attachment.

- Added new weapon model skins for LR300 (new), AKS74U (worn), modern AK74, GP36, FN F2000
- Added new skins for Colt 1911 (old skool), Walther P99,
- Added new skins for Dragunov SVD & SVU, VSS Vintorez
- Added new skin for SPAS12
- Re-enabled Millitary and Merc STALKER suits (never enabled even in vanilla STALKER)
- Added various new exoskeleton and STALKER suits
- Weapons now produce less noise when silencers are fitted (before silencers were just cosmetic)
- Enabled an option for Alife in weapons files
- Corrected some weapons playing the wrong sound
- Changed sounds of some weapons to "fit" better.
- Silenced weapon sounds are now more varied
- Redone a few weapons details
- Added multiplayer and single player specnaz, military and exoskeleton suits
- Added weapon \ armour repair
- Added a hoard of monsters
- More additions to come!

- Still to add; more frequent monster spawning, new maps, new weapons, more intelligent Alife, scopes for some handguns, maybe custom weapon sounds.

lol I thought that when I looked at it, eitherway it looks class Theres lots of changes still to come, including a small edit to the first trader file, silencers will be removed, kinda seems too easy if you can buy a silencer from the offset.

Changes:

- 1st trader no longer sells the silencer, its just too easy being able to grab a silencer from the start.
- AK74, 74SU, LR300, and Abakan firepower adjusted (dont expect them to be madly powerful, adjustments are modest)
- Corrected more weapons playing the wrongsound (in itself is now known as K.E.T. realistic gun sounds)
- Implemented realistic rain with STALKERs weather system
