Ugh. Looks like it might be time to shop around for a new guild. Blue Horizon suddenly had it's website, forums, and team speak all redacted. Posts on the SC forums kinda indicate they imploded. :(

The patch next week sounds like it will have some fun things in it though.

    Erm...
The dogfighting module got pushed back a few months.
At least we'll be getting some "surprises" this Friday in our hangars.

Has anyone seen Elite: Dangerous. It looks pretty good, and it looks like it's in alpha. I'm looking forward to jumping in on Star Citizen when dog fighting is enabled. :toast:

I've seen it. It looks fun, but compared to SC, it also looks very unimaginative. I'd rather keep playing WC Privateer until SC is in open alpha and we can take to the stars.

Yea man SC looks a lot better. I was just thinking it could hold some over until dog fighting is ready. To me "Elite:d" looks closer to X3. I don't know, but to me it looks like they are using a cell shaded 3d engine. I'm more of a fan of the crysis engine. :toast:

If this TPU org actually gets off the ground, I have two IRL friends who joined LAMP with me who I'm sure would be happy to run with a smaller, more organized and tightly-knit group even though they aren't TPUers. They'll probably be crewin' with me most of the time anyway.
Oh, and E, if you wouldn't mind adding an Aurora LN and an Avenger under my name as well. I swear I'm done buying ships now. I think...

A few months could mean we get it in Feb - with the Xmas holiday and new years you lose 2-3 weeks' development time, so a one month delay suddenly becomes 2. A lot of the delay is due to the fact they've had more money - this has let them ramp up development on other things sooner by hiring more people and teams but in doing so that takes resources away from current development work. All in all we hopefully will not get more delays for future deadlines as they've gone through the pain of expanding now instead of later.

CR actually said he's pushing it back because he didn't want to have his teams working on a bunch of throwaway code just to get a module out the door, he wants it instead to be the polished, multiplayer module he originally wanted to release.

And part of that is because they were planning on throw-away code anyway (they were going to initially launch using Cryengine's client/server code) - the extra money they got meant they've been working on their own custom stuff much sooner and so the throw-away stuff would only last a couple of months before being thrown away instead of the 6-12 months originally planned.

Plus in one of Wingman's hangovers Eric did say that the extra teams they've brought on board now have cost them time they weren't planning on spending until after DFM.

    I like both of those.

Disciples of the Wizzard. Maybe? Unless W1zz is a backer of this game and wants in.
Yes, I'm also in LAMP. :) Wizzard's Deciples is a good name methinks. Hopefully we will get some organization love before Christmas so I can set things up. The TPU clan will be the first I join.

Just make sure you spell "Disciples" correctly, you spelled it two different ways in that post :p
I thought it had a nice ring to it. We could be a group of technophiles, lol.

Also, what's this "golden ticket" I keep hearing about over at RSI forums?

I think 'golden tickets' were giving to people who backed immediately after it was announced. I was close, but not close enough.
