Might be interesting, but honestly Just Cause 2 has kinda spoiled me to games like this. Far Cry 1 was awesome, Far Cry 2 was just flat out horrible, worst $5 I ever spent. So long as they ditch the mission system, it should be good, basically just take the same format as Crysis.

Just watched the cinematic trailer, I like the plot. But I agree with your JC, couldn't stand FC2. If FC 3 takes a page from JC 2 it would do it a lot of good, also give us some destruction, I know that engine supports it.

I kinda liked Far Cry 2 but there were lots of really bad flaw such as the shitty AI. Let's hope that this will be some kick ass goodness.

Seems ok if ubisoft had continued the story.

Yeah i really enjoyed it my self well except some lame ass spawning.. As i said above more work on it would of made it so much better but i think they are not allowed to make such a game these days

I guess I won't buy this FarCry 3. To me the FarCry series have really jumped the shark since FarCry 2 with those ridiculous design, plot and gameplay (the malaria thing is horrible). The first FarCry is still fun to play, especially with mods (my favorite being the Matto4 mod); it seems that Crytek at the time was more passionate with PC games developement, since the company have updated the graphics of FarCry several times via patches, adding pixelshader 2.0 and then 3.0 support (+ HDR lighting). It's sad to see what Ubisoft has done to the series, first with Wii's FarCry Vengeance (Xbox's FarCry Instinct was great!) and later with FarCry 2.

Also Ubisoft seems to sell DRM now instead of games, I mean, hell, all those DRM, and all side-effects of it, are going to overshadow the games.
