I was watching a movie and suddenly this message poped up. I was really surprised as I have never seen this before. Did anyone get this message from Steam?

Seeing your thread I just opened my Steam and was greeted with exactly the same messages for two games? Has Steam been hacked or something, if not, wtf is going on?

AFAIK the issue lies with 3rd party key sellers and stolen products or something.
Did you buy the games directly from steam ?

You could ask them the reason for the removal but it as far as getting your games back you would have to take it up with whoever distributed the keys

No notifications for me either and i have the same game that came from the same place. It may have been the way the key was distributed to you. If they didn't claim it from Humble as a gift that could be the issue. The keys i gave away where claimed by me as a gift so it just gave me a link to give to the giftee and not a code.

This will answer Your question HOPEFULLY.... If You won that game from One of My giveaways I regret to inform You that My payPal was recently used to Make $4000 USD in purchases that Where NOT authorised by ME....Therefore I had NO choice but to follow up with My bank, and they proceeded to dispute 73 or 74 charges that where made in the last several months...the "suspicious" ones . According to My contact @ the bank it would be VERY tough to seperate which where and Weren't legitimate.....So....long story short.If It is being contested by My bank You will likely lose the game... I am TRULY sorry, but I HAD to take action, Since My Mortgage was due, and I was left broke after this B.S. I apologize to ALL and ANY who where effected...if You DO lose a game let ME know, and when this gets resolved I will do My best to make good in Some way , shape, or form asap.. thanks, and Sorry.

Aside from being broke, now I feel like an Asshole,,, I never considered THIS result when dealing with thise whole mess.

OMG, so sorry to hear that and obviously it is no issue whatsoever. I hope you manage to sort it out and it makes me sick to think of this happening to someone who has been so giving to TPU. Best of luck with sorting it out my friend and I hope they manage to trace the ahole who would do that sort of thing.

it was My son......I want to kill him. $4000 in DLC to "Roblox" and something Called "arkhamnetworks".... FFS Trust Me He lost the New PC I JUST built him,. and wont have acess to one for a LONG time.

Looks like arkhamnetworks is some modified minecraft server. The only $400 item is "The Joker" package (on sale from $800) which gives a bunch of server perks.
Seems like a common thing to do for private servers like this. Offer crazy-high priced items just in case this exact thing happens.

Perhaps a lawn mowing venture would give them an idea of how much $4000 is. I accidentally broke someone's windshield when I was young and had to pay it off the hard way. I learned the value of a dollar pretty quickly.

Honestly, don't kill him or neuter him. Do something worse...

Make him start working. Take his computer away, make him work to buy it back if he wants it. Show him what it takes to earn $4000, heck even 1k, and when he finally does that, he'll probably be sorry as hell and be better off for it. This sounds to me like a very severe case of not knowing what a dollar is.

I mean what he did is inexcusable, but people and kids especially make stupid mistakes. That's what we are here for, to teach them. Sometimes hard love is the best love.

I know someone that moved back to the States from Japan. His oldest son had 2 years of high school left, so his wife and kids stayed behind. He left his iPhone with the kid and got a new phone when he came to the states. His iPhone in Japan was linked to his account that he made payments on a motorcycle - he had enough in there to cover the last couple dozen payments.....
After about 6 months his wife called him and said he needed to put money in the account to cover the bike payments. He found out that his kid was charging movies, music, DLC and so on and wracked up a few thousand dollars in payments on the iPhone.....he was really pissed. He almost lost his bike for failure on payments.
