so i log on to steam today to play some css with my younger brother....and all of my friends are gone.....my groups are still there but my friends list is completely empty :wtf:

I did just take an update....even after the restart I do have my list though. Maybe your update went bad?

Ahh Gzero just told me he had the same problem.

Earlier on steam was doing an update to the network and I had no friends but it told me they would get friends list up and running ASAP, an hour later its back.

So I'm guessing that some people have not been sorted out yet or something.

i dont know what happened, my games are all there and my groups are all there, just my friends list is completely empty and its not like everyone just all up and left me cause my brothers gone from it to :shadedshu I restarted steam and installed the update but that didn't do anything :shadedshu Guess i get to spend the day playing lets try to remember everyones exact steam name :mad:

I too have had my friends so viciously taken from me. There's a thread on the Steam forums and it seems lots of people have the same problem. Last I saw it was 250+ posts.

Holy crap now it's 680+.

Mine are gone too.. lol. Kinda odd. Oh well, Not like I used that very often.
