Many people have been posting threads asking why their radeon x16xx pro only shows up as having 4 pixel pipe lines. The answer is that this is correct, the radeon x16xx pro has 4 pixel pipes. The radeon x16xx does however have 12 shaders, and for what ever the reason when you buy a radeon x16xx pro the description is that it has 12 pixel pipes instead of shaders.
so, summery.
If your radeon x16xx shows up as having 4 pixel pipes, it is not defective, that is normal, radeon x16xxs have 12 shaders, not pipes.
Just for clarification, the radeon x1650XT has 8 instead of 4 pipes...
