Hi there, I'm new here, I'm stubborn and don't normally ask for advice however I am stumped on this one.
I was playing a game for about 30mins and noticed a series of stutters then a black screen, still on but unresponsive. I did a hard reset and it posted then proceeded to boot however the screen went blank and hard reset again, so I removed all components systematically and test with another video card(r9 270x) which worked fine, now my card will boot to Windows (fresh install win 10) but it eventually will black screen freeze even when unattended, I think Windows is automatically trying to install the device and something is stopping it, if I install the drivers from ati (if tried from manufacturer drivers and amd's) it black screens in the same manner.
I suppose what I want to know is, is the card a paperweight, fixable or is this a software issue. I'm gonna try it in another machine 2moro, but I don't have much faith due to the r9 270x I borrowed working fine in my machine! my next thought would be to flash the card???
