Ok, I'm talking to him on messenger...and he's not completely computer literate :p so bare with me

My friend has a Asus m3a79-t deluxe, he's trying to install a wireless card. The drivers install fine and everything is hunky dory except for this error:

Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)

His BIOS is fully up to date....it just doesn't make any sense to me...the only possible solutions are "update the BIOS" which he has done...so what the hell is going on? Thanks in advance

oh...he has Vista Ultimate 64 bit, 8GB of RAM, Phenom II 940 (i think), nothing's overclocked....

ya, that's the only option I've found. He's already flashed the BIOS a few times and to no avail.

He's gone through he said a bunch of different NICs and this is the only one that gives him the code 35...all the others gave him code 10 but that was because they didn't have 64 bit drivers or they just wouldn't work at all.

oh sorry, yes he tried all the other PCI slots

It's hard to explain it cos he doesn't know much about how to read the event viewer and go look in the BIOS for problems...I'm going to his house to see it for myself...
