I bought a slightly used As Rock X399 Taichi from Amazon about a month ago. There are a couple of weird things happening in terms of the board.
1. The only way I can control RGB is in the BIOS. If I try to use the Windows program it does not launch.
2. The RAM is confusing. The BIOS shows 16GB, Windows shows 16GB but 3DMark shows 40GB. I have 48GB installed.
3. The RAM does not go past 1.2 Volts so none of my XMP profiles work. For some reason I cannot adjust it.
4. There are some saved RAM settings in the BIOS that I cannot delete
I have updated to the latest BIOS 3.80 with no issues but these problems still persist. I even went so far as to clear the CMOS. I left the PC unplugged while I was at work yesterday and cleared the CMOS. The CPU and PCI_E lanes were reset but the RAM is still bonked. Could it be the Memory controller?
