i bought a 1333 mhz ddr3 kit and all my programs say its clocked at 1066mhz:confused: why? and so does my BOIS. i already overclocked it to 1800 mhz, but that downclocking is kinda strange... the brand is kingston value ram

Most of the New AM3 Mothers need to set manually the freccuency, so just change it from the bios just like Dir_d said.

thanks for the replies.

i was just worried, because i was afraid i was killing my memory by putting it to 1800 mhz. my Mobo: gigabyte EX-58 UD3R was just auto- clocking it to 1066.
it works fine i guess. but how moch further could i push it? and how do i test that?
