So have this LG 43UM7050PLF behind my bed, which is connected to my PC via 10 meter HDMI 2.0 cable.
Now it all works flawless, but there is some odd behviour that's limited to the PC connection only.
Whenever i watch TV or a movie on my mediaplayer (HDMI 1), every now and then the TV pops up a HDMI 2 message stating that it's ready to use, even though the PC is off, including it's powerbrick. The mediaplayer which is connected to HDMI 1 does not have this behaviour when i play a game.
Could it be related to the cable itself, or is this normal behaviour because the HDMI port keeps sending a signal to the GPU which returns it... i guess?
I thought about getting an active cable instead, since it works only on way, perhaps it will block the signal coming from the TV?
Mind you, the cable was very cheap: HDMI kabel - versie 2.0 (4K 60Hz + HDR) - CU koper aders / zwart - 10 meter (onlinekabelshop.nl) (dutch website, you will have to translate)
