Superscript: <sup></sup> as [sup][/sup]

They aren't required but they look a lot nicer than typing out powers in long form.

It's a pain, but you can technically type superscript and subscript numbers the manual way: H₂O

Explicit superscript and subscript tags would be easier though...

I gotta ask for this again because not only would it be nice for CO2, W/m2, and footnotes, Vega56 and Vega64 are also using superscript. It should be simple to implement and it cleans up more scientific posts so...why not? :D

But there's no equivalent of the caret character for subscript. And the caret is just used by calculators to denote exponential expression. In the case of chemistry and Vega, it does not denote an exponent.

Looking up Unicode characters for subscript and superscript is really annoying.

Bumping again because making a post like this is painful and ugly without it. There are no subscript Unicode characters for C, D, and W. The subscript Unicode characters aren't uniform because they're borrowed from may other languages/uses.
