I was playing Race driver grid 2 days ago and all of a sudden the computer froze, the audio looped, and the display went blank.
I, decided to ignore this and restarted the computer. hoping I would never see the problem again, unaware of the issues lurking deep within my computer cases' dark interior.
Yesterday,it happened twice in race driver, once in battlefield, I suspected there must have been a small error in my system somewhere, so I reset the ram and processor back to normal speeds, and carried on.
Today it started to crash in less intensive tasks such as watching videos, I decided to run some tests to see what was wrong, now i know something was indeed very wrong!
I ran 4 hours of memtest before deciding the ram was ok, I decided it was probably the graphics card.
Then I launched OCCT, this is where it goes from bad to worse, I ran the GPU test, there were no problems.
I then launched the GPU memory test, and suddenly, blackness appeared all around me, the computer fell silent.
I then restarted the computer, the displays turned off, and the GPU fan stayed at full power , however the rest of the computer appeared to start and function as normal, with the hard drive and DVD drive lights appearing as they normally do.
I quickly found I was unable to fix the problem, and am now posting this thread on TPU, requesting your guidance and advice, on how I can overcome this issue, and triumphantly win this battle with my computer's swift and devastating graphical error.
tl/dr: how can I make it work again?
