Suggestion for thermal paste or thing for poor contact situations

I am searching around for thermal compound or something that can be used in poor contact situations like the cooling of an ic, laptop cpus with bad mount, vrm cooling or etc. Basically in situation where contact between surfaces is poor or gap is huge. I know thermal tape could be use but I want something better and more general purpose that I also use with normal cpus too and I would prefer for it to come is large enough quantity like a big tube but cost reasonable enough.

Basically I need a very thick viscous thermal paste.

no thermal paste is that good.. its better than an air gap but that is about all can be said for it..

the normal cheap white stuff in a tube works okay except for really critical situations.. the purpose of the pasts is to remove air gaps.. it goes without saying that air gaps (paste thickness) should be minimal..

Thermal pads are probably the best thing. I did some looking some time ago for something similar, and that is what I came up with then. I haven't found anything in my country though, so I haven't tried anything.

I used akasa shinetsu thermal pads stacked on eachother, worked well for a Dell XPS Gen 1/Inspiron 9100 laptop gpu and chipset cooling

Is this for actual poor contact situations, or just a "be prepared?". Basically, what you're asking for will inhibit thermal transfer. That's why it is always advised to have only a thin layer of TIM.

Maybe if we knew what specifically is goung on we could better recommend a solution.
