Between Corsair ax1600i and Superflower Titanium 1600w, which one is better? I already have 1 corsair 1600i but cant find it in stock anywhere to buy again so I just bought superflower .

Well cancelled my super flower and bought the corsair for $50 more. Read a review and it says the superflower has a noisy fan.

According to most reviews. the fan on the superflower is semi-passive and doesnt start spinning till you start pulling about 600w.

Theres also a switch to set if you want fan management to be set to 'auto' or 'eco' -- Eco is the silent mode

I highly doubt the fan is super loud, but each to their own i guess.

I bought the first Corsair ever made...the HX 620. Bought it the first week it was available on New Egg. It cost $160 but is still going strong 12 years later.
You do need to get the high end models however as their later cheap models were less quality. I also have the HX 650 and its getting old too.
It indeed is all about the true manufactures of the power supplies. :rockout:

The 850w SF leadex3 unit i had did. If you have a specific model in mind check the pictures at newegg. I had a hard time finding the answer to that question before i bought mine as well. Newegg was the only place that had clear enough pictures to tell.

The corsair ax1600i is one of best PSUs ever made, the amount of science that went into its design will make Superflower engineers explode, Flextronics are a legit top dawg in the PSU space, i would buy their stuff above anything, most people dont realize how cheaply made even the top end seasonics and super flowers compared to somthing from flextronics.

Power supplies with this capacity are primarily intended for servers (and a few specialized workstations) so they will likely inhabit an air-conditioned server room.

Think beyond the paradigm of an ATX PC underneath your desk.

The sysadmins who manage big iron know all about this and will think that 1800W is some sort of putt-putt toy. Nothing new here, it's been like this for decades.

(1600/.89)-1600= ~197.75 watts of potential waste heat.

The Superflower has better wires, they are flat but more supple. Just feel better to route
When the fan switch is on Auto it runs with no load.
