SuperMicro 1U Rackmount Server

Hey guys,

I just recently acquired a SuperMicro 1U Rackmount server. Any Idea on it's worth? I was told it ran Netbotz for the Hinds County Community College system. I acquired it at their Cisco class. They were giving away their 2 yr old servers to make room for new ones.


I also have a Globalstar Satillite Phone in the Pelican Case. Brand new. Got is from local Gov't Surplus. Any idea on worth?

Ill get them to you on my lunch break. I don't know about the internals except that it run UNIX. I can get you the serial number and other IDs.

Like with a desktop, internals are going to matter when it comes to price. Open it up, see what it's got. Either way for a SuperMicro 1U, I don't see any of them going used for over a hundred bucks.

well, i doubt this will get 100.

The local recycling center might take it. I don't see any monetary value in it.

Dual intel lan ports might make for a powerful router.

Double it up as a file server as well.


Also without Phone model number price will be tough to estimate. However the pelican case can make a nice transport for PC parts

I like the part where it runs Unix. Unix aint cheap. I looked up the phone and on Global it went for 499 after 50 dollar rebate.
