I had an idea to make a pocket (planning stages atm), high performance gaming rig using that Zotac 9300 Mini Itx board and the Silverstone SG06 Mini Itx case.

Then will surfing for tech news, I saw my idea already built and demo'ed at CeBit today!

http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=17489

Damn sweet!

Parts that I was deciding on were:

Mobo - Zotac 9300 Mini ITX - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500022
Case - Silverstone SG05 - http://www.case-mod.com/silverstone...-with-sfx-300w-power-supply-black-p-3996.html
CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115041
GPU - Palit NE/98TX+XT352 GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261042 <---shorter PCB from the looks of it. I probably wait for the GTS 250...
PSU - Silenx Ixtrema 400w SFX - http://www.excaliberpc.com/571864/silenx-ixm-40-14-ixtrema-micro-400w.html <---upgrade the PSU to 400w. IMO, 300w for a 9800gtx+ is just cutting it. SFX PSU that is modular!!! Crazy!!!
Memory - What ever 4gb (2gb x 2) DDR2 memory on sale
Optical - Sony Slim Slot Loading DVD Burner - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118028 or blu-ray...though I want slot loading.
Cooler - Scythe "SHURIKEN" CPU Cooler - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185063...hopefully it fits.
HDD - 300GB WD VelociRaptor or SSD

why use that board when ASUS is coming out with that new mATX X58 board... now that will make a powerhouse lan box.. :D

But your stuff seems to be a good choice too.

One quick question, why are their some 9800 GTX+ with two 6pin and some with only one 6pin?

Well, this is mITX...so even smaller (9in sq. less)! :D though not as powerful as the Asus with its i7 and multi-gpu support.

Should just get the GTS250 1GB verison, that be great, only uses 1 PCI-E same clock speeds and uses less power

that looks pretty sweet. But I feel like things would get very warm with the side panels and stuff on. That would be my only concern. But I like the idea!
