So with the eminent release of AMD's Ryzen series, and the longevity my current system has served me, I am seriously considering upgrading my 3930k system to a Ryzen 1700X system (provided third party reviews prove leaked benchmarks to be correct). So what do you think would be a fair asking prices in US currency for the following components of my current system?

i7 3930k 6c/12t capable of +4.3GHz- https://ark.intel.com/products/63697/Intel-Core-i7-3930K-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz

16gig (2*8) Corsair LPX DDR3 1600 ram- http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lp-memory-16gb-1600mhz-cl9-ddr3-cml16gx3m2a1600c9

Everything together, it should get about 200 USD max. Realistically, about 150. You could get more on Ebay but with Ryzen coming, informed users won't take it unless it's for other needs.

But if you sell the mobo alone, that's 2011 socket, so it should patch 100 ~ 150 by itself.
Or at least it should. Again, with Ryzen coming, I cancelled my plans of getting 2011 and 2011-3 mobos.

I have sold a good bit of hardware on ebay. My advice is to sell them separate to get the most. That mobo is worth bank on eBay. Clean it all up so it looks new, make sure no dust. Take pictures on a sheet of white paper with good lighting, good resolution camera. Take lots of pictures and make sure the serial numbers are visible to discourage a switcheroo scam. If you have the boxes in good condition, it adds a lot of value. Make sure you include everything it came with. If it looks new and comes in a box with everything, people will pay more for it. Make sure you sell it with Buy It Now. If auction you will probably get less. Be patient and it will sell for a good price.

I determined prices from ebay sold listings.

edit: Also if you are challenged by a buyer who opens a claim against you, ask them to take pictures to prove there is an issue. Also call eBay's hotline to start to build a claim in your favor immediately. If you are polite, they will tell you what you need to do to have the claim decided in your favor.

Everything together, it should get about 200 USD max. Realistically, about 150. You could get more on Ebay but with Ryzen coming, informed users won't take it unless it's for other needs.

You couldn't be more wrong, this stuff is worth a lot more.

I'm thinking alucasa is off also, but didn't want to say anything as I'm unsure myself. I was thinking in the $500-550 range honestly, but I was putting more value on the CPU and less on the board

That motherboard sells for 350 brand-new in a box with all the warrantee and added value of it being brand-new. I'd guess in the 150 maybe a bit more area. Got to be honest no one's going to pay 150 for a used board when they can get a brand-new one for $100 more and $50 more no one does that(atleast not enough to Count on).

The 3930 I'm not going to comment on just because of the current climate with the new released CPUs,it's always best to expect the worst and hope for the best so if you get over 100 I'd say you got lucky.

As far as the ram there's great value in DDR3 especially with the current skyrocketing prices. Whoever suggested you separate sell, that's a good piece of advice. Sell as is no guarantees no strings so at the point of sale it's over. Personally I wouldn't use eBay but to each his own.

If I was forced to make a guess it would be as follows

$110 cpu
$160 mobo
$90-$110 ram

$350-$380
keep in mind, as someone mentioned already, a Cruncher would LOVE a PC with those components, but they arent going to pay High $ for them....just a matter of fact.you also need to keep in mind, although a seller Loves their PC, a buyer just wants the parts, there is no sentimental value, which MANY sellers tend to tack on a Chunck of $$ for. most folks in the market for a 6+ core CPU, enthusoast build wont mind paying an extra 40% for BNIB.

In my opinion those r the "sales" prices, not the "listed" prices. anybody can list anything at any price but if They want to sell it ,they have to use a realitic, & alluring price

On the contrary. There was a reason why i went with my 2500k a few years back rather than a 2600k

If you clean it up nice, you would be surprised. June 2016 I sold a Z77E-ITX for $195. I bought that board for $135 3 years earlier!

You need to sell fast. The price will go down quickly once Ryzen is out.

true dat
