Hi,

I recently completed a miTX build using a EVGA Hadron Air chassis. All was well until today.

I left the house for a bit and when I returned, the computer was turned off.

Now for the past six hours, I've been trying to figure out why the computer won't turn back on. It turns off and on intermittently when I reassemble pieces of hardware.

For example, just five minutes ago, I reassembled everything minus the video card. I was able to boot into Windows, and I ran a quick Cinebench CPU test. I turned off the computer, reinserted the video card, and now the power button doesn't nothing.

When I tried to reassemble it in a cardboard box, nothing happened. If the PSU is to blame, I took it out of the chassis and plugged it into my brother's computer without a problem.

I'm at my wits end spending my day off trying to figure out why this is happening. I'm leaning to a motherboard issue.. but hopefully I can get an exchange without having to send in a RMA.

What graphics card are you using? Maybe the graphics card is drawing too much power to post or display.

Please fill out your system specs and post the other system spec so people can more easily help you.

It sounds like a possible PSU issue but who can tell when your post lacks so much information..

Shutting down could be a PSU ( fault \ weak psu \ overheating and as for the none start could be the PSU tripping if it's tripping turn psu off and back on 30 seconds later see if it boots ).

Bad psu or crappy home wiring unless if the power switch on chassis is bad
