Seems a waste to install 6 580s and not fold.
Wow! And he's getting a seventh one! A shame he's not folding...
Yea seems a bit pointless.
They seem to have caught him ridin' dirty..
not really he can do what he wants with them. though honestly i dont understand why its being shown off here. he has 6 580's with 1 more inbound? so what? im instrested in that system about as much as memorizing the system specs for the other 40,000 members of this site.
he states in the thread that he uses it for testing corporate security
either way its frickin amazing
So instead of taking 2 years to crack 256-bit encryption, the GTX 580 may be able to reduce that to 30 days.
Ugh. Why must folders act so aggressively moronic? Sure, everyone is some type of idiot, but not everyone acts high and mighty about it out of extreme ignorance. It’s these never ending instances that make me want to dump all my knowledge of the medical industry. You're not curing cancer, not even close. There's already plenty of cancer cures at or beyond the human testing phase. Something else entirely is the hold up there. Now let’s cut the crap. If you wanted to help someone you’d spend $500 on their medical bills, not on a dedicated folding card… justifying it with "it's mainly for folding". People, in general, need to stop lying to themselves to justify various aspects of their lives. In this case “it's all for a good cause” is typically a load of bs. A good deal of the motivations in folding are part of our basic desire to be a part of a group, any group, and or to be competitive. The vague moral benefit of folding is just a comfort, a justification of your indulgences.
To abrev, don't be judgmental if you don't understand the topic or yourself for that matter.
you better fold or your 580s will not safe from theft..
I posted the link because i guess unlike urself some ppl are interested in insane systems and seeing how they turn out, if ur not interested don't look or post lol.
is there even any motherboard that supports that many graphic cards at once?
This one would do it i suppose:
ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer "Ultimate Gamer" choose...
thats just ridiculusly insane.
