Task manager failed to initialize properly

anyone here know offhand what makes this error occur? i only ever get it when im playing Day of Defeat Source and the map on the server changes. But if im quick with ctrl alt+ dlt i can catch it before it locks up. Ive tried googling round abit and cant really find much on it. If anyone knows what makes this error occur that would be great thanks.

Tried re-installing DOD? I had some buggy problems with HL2 episode 1 when dogs finds you at the starting. After he pulls me up and let me down the game just hang. Work it round by redownloading it though it takes awhile.

yeh i reinstalled it yesterday, actually doesn't take aslong as it used to valve servers seem to be much quicker these days, but the problem has actually only appeared since i reinstalled it, before yesterday id never seen this problem.

i had a trojan last year that disabled task manager, sounds very simular to what i had.

dont remember too much about it now but i googled it for the fix.
