Two things really
- I'm once more reminded of how.. sane? Logical? I am compared to the kind of "people" this market primarily addresses..
I mean, i've heard and read it all in just a couple of days, lol
i) Gaming on 1080p is for peasants/retards/clueless people. Must be at least 4K, if you go blind, even better
ii) 5FPS of a difference is cause for war and Russians stabbing other fellow Russians to death
iii) The difference between 135 and 140 FPS, even though negligible, is enough to make people foam at the mouth and act like spastics just because
iv) if i want more than just one lane running at 3.0 x16 on my mobo i am a diehard fanboy
v) Half price is still not good enough, logical is half price AND better performance!
vi) LN2 cooling is a consideration factor for everyone and worthy of articles. Everyone, i mean even monkeys OC with LN2, so why not base your purchase on
that
vii) Kids were always... kids.. (i hate them), but this is 2017 and even 50yr olds can be kids now. The joy
Could go on..
- I don't have 'sides'. At some point in our life, we switch from black n white to other, more greyish hue variations, lol
Am happy this didn't turn out to be another Bulldozer fiasco, am definitely happy with the results thus far, as in my opinion they go along with the price.
Am very, very happy i have more options as a consumer.
And will definitely be purchasing the 3rd generation equivalent of the 1800x when it comes out. Patience is a virtue.
Far as Intel is concerned, nothing to see here, history always repeats itself. Too much money, zero competition, we all know how that goes. Sincerely hoping AMD invests the profits well. Can only imagine what they'd do if they had the actual manufacturing leeway Intel does (am thinking of foundries, [re]calibrating, costs, etc). Maybe someday..
