I think I found a typo in the Test System table:

Test System
CPU: Intel Core i7 860
2.8 GHz, 2 MB Cache

Shouldn't it be 8MB?

Anyways, good review, this kit is quite good but expensive, in my opinion.

Reason I buy ram that is faster than my rated bus speed is so I am not overclocking the memory itself.

The first and only time I tried Team Xtreem RAM, I bought a dual channel kit for my Lynnfield. BOTH stick in the kit were defective, and not a few bytes were bad, almost the entire kit were bad. Even when I underclocked it majorly it was still really defective. Never touching Team Xtreem again.

Still, those latencies on the reviewed kit leave alot to be desired. OCZ gives you those latencies on 1866 kits.

Ya, those sticks suck. 2T at 1600Mhz isnt very good and they are way overpriced where i live. Pricing is similar to Corsair performance sticks with much better timings. They should be priced at the low end with generic sticks. imo
