That quote box wasn't there before the site upgrade. That needs to go back to being completely hidden, if we really wanted to see the names of the people and their quote we ignore we would just click show ignored content at bottom of page.

Please change it back

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Not going to lie... I like it this way better. Threads make more sense in letting users know there is a reply, just that you are choosing to ignore it/that user. The 'show ignored users' link is good for a page, but you need to hit it again when going to the next page. I'd rather see it inline and use some self control (heh) to ignore (or click to look) than to look at some swiss cheese thread due to ignoring multiple toxic/polarizing users.

I still stand by the fact that if you ban about 5-8 people here (surely I'm on that list for some, lulz), the toxicity levels drop and the forums would be more suitable for consumption...but hey, we'll let the list grow... :)

Oh just take me off ignore. I do not feel you should be banned (or any one else)
We had our scuffle, past it now. Hopefully you can feel the same way.
And I apologize for saying the mean things in the open forum. That won't happen again.
I stooped to a pretty low level and feel ashamed. Not loosing sleep on it, just letting you know.
(pretty much told administration here the same thing.)

peace?

I got some odd time outs now and then. Sometime refresh works sometime don't, opening new tab resulting time outs but refreshing current page works. Weird.

These appeared today: the Patreon block shows up on the main page, the second picture shows what those Patreon articles look like (they're all in a single page format). I'm not a Patreon supporter (didn't even know TPU had a Patreon).

This is something I'm working on, to get it exposed to a bigger audience I enabled it for all registered users.

What do you think?

I like the single page look. Wish there was a contents table at the top of the page though, so you could skip to the desired part of the article (setup, test results etc.). Perhaps a button to go back to the top that follows as you scroll down, for easy access to the contents table and intro.
In regards to performance, the single page format takes longer to load. It's especially noticeable on the headphones page, probably due to multiple Soundcloud embeds.
Also noticed that if you remove the single-page.html part of the address the page switches back to the regular multi-page look with a page selector. If possible, it would've been cool to have that as an on/off option, i.e. when you first open an article it's displayed in the standard multi-page mode but with a single/multi page view mode switch located next to the page selector, along with an option to remember your choice, so that all articles would open in the single/multi page mode by default.

Or something like: https://nl.hardware.info/artikel/97...e-full-hd-videokaart-voor-minder-dan-200-euro
Navigation stays at the right side even when you scroll.

Good idea, Not liking @P4-630's sidebar suggestion though because it's not going to work on mobile, maybe something at the top or bottom.

In regards to performance, the single page format takes longer to load.
The download size is bigger (expected). Unlike "fully" public reviews, we also have to funnel each image request through PHP, so we can authenticate you, and serve a 404 if your forum account doesn't have "patron early access" permission, this adds around 60 ms per image. Testing how much server load is added is exactly why I opened up the feature to public

but with a single/multi page view mode switch located next to the page selector

Patreons do have that capability already.

@W1zzard I noticed that you're working on the contents bar. If I may suggest, it'd look better if the bar didn't stretch across the entire screen, i.e. cut off these parts
1575285856547.png

leaving only the middle section with the selector itself. That way it could stay at top of the screen and follow as you scroll without obstructing the logo when you first open the page.

yeah I'm messing around with it, thanks for the feedback

edit: it will now pop up only after you've scrolled past the first heading.

didn't really like the look with the sides cut off

Not sure if intended but the contents bar doesn't appear as you scroll here. Adding single-page.html to the address causes the bar to appear but
1575455493767.png

also appears at the bottom.

doesn't appear as you scroll
because that url is the regular view version, not the single-page.html version

appears at the bottom.
that's because the review is set to public, and is no longer in patreon early access mode. (I've enabled patreon early access for everyone, not regular single-page view).

So if the article is too short, you don't get a contents bar in the regular version?

correct, the contents bar is just for single-page view specifically, at this time. nearly all of our reviews are multiple pages, so it doesn't make sense to show the contents bar on these reviews
