Anyone else experience disappearing threads? I commented on the my wife's computer is running out of storage thread at 6.33 and it's missing from the recent posts on the homepage, it's happened before on other threads also the half an hour later will reappear, for me at least.

Using chrome on android 8. Not sure if it happens on the desktop as I've not noticed it.

That thread went to the lounge. Could be due to its movement, not sure about others without knowing what they are.

Well that will explain it I guess though not the last one that it happened on as it reappeared again after a while, though I can't really remember what thread it was so I guess that's the end of that lol

If it happens again, try to take notes. It could be more serious, but with that specific thread, its more plausible to be a fluke.

Is anyone else showing really long load times on the forums?
Anything with a picture seems to take forever to load.

All the other sites I've checked are fine.

Website is slooooooooooooooow trying to save/post for me this morning for the last few mins... it just sits there thinking with the orange bar spinning for like 10-15s, FYI.

Not sure if anyone else is seeing this (I'm good at other forums).

Yep, same here. It's off and on but at times it won't do anything. Like I've lost internet. Everywhere else is running fine.

im mobile now... but seeing as how someone else reproduced it, doesn't seem like its an ISP issue (perhaps down the pike?).

If needed, ill run a trace when I get home again.

Edit: did it again... this time on my phone (verizon) trying to post now.

EDIT: @W1zzard - still slow for me occasionally... Ran a traceroute and all was good up until just before TPU where hops 10 and 11 timed out before landing at TPU.

The two timeout on the last hops are normal, no idea why, but I get them too.

Has the situation improved?

Yeppers, it seems to be as fast as normal. Loading quick and pages are quick even with pictures in the posts.

Using FF by any chance? it's gone to pot for me with the last couple of updates, so much so that I'm happy using Edge (chromium)

No, I'm using Chrome.

I'll probably give Edge a shot as I use that at work and it seems to be pretty fast and solid.

Can't really say it's an issue, more like a small annoyance I guess? but whenever I link to some specific reply, the preview isn't the one of the linked reply, but rather the first post in that page of the thread. For example, see my post in that thread:

What are you playing?

You guys realize that these pages are now taking about a minute to load up right? Which means... I scroll past half an empty page and don't even see all those nice screens. Use spoiler tags! its so much better... I don't do it either all the time... but if you post more than one pic, why not...

Is it possible for members to get the option to hide threads?
I know we can just ignore threads we don't want to read, but even the title of a thread can upset the sensibilities of some members that could be suffering from some sort of trauma.

I'm imagining someone getting triggered because they bought a fake GPU off wish

Nope that's all good - it almost feels like an IP ban... The spam filters didn't block my IP did they?
