It was a follow up to his previous "how much water do You need to kill a gpu" video.
He used our database to check bioses for 1650 he was using.
I didn't catch any off comments though.
Another Youtuber complaining about TPU  sigh.

He mentioned it was about an article posted here a few weeks before he shot this vid on the card.
I don't know what article he refers to (Guess I missed it) but that's the reason he gave.

I quit watching him, when he 'attacks' something he really goes overboard on the bandwagon, he is really bipolar about some subjects. Next week or month he'll be praising TPU...

Thanks guys for the replies :) I was just wondering what was up with him and TPU.. I like the guy, he goes a bit nutty sometimes but that's how you get the views and subscribers I guess... Sometimes it's a good thing and I do have a laugh when watching his videos.

I do seem to be watching a little more Linus but I'm not such a fan but he's got 4 times the subs compared to Jay..

Either way, I've not noticed it before though which is why I was surprised and wondered if anyone had any further info :)

depends on which video - He could of been just responding to a certain 'news article' written by none other than our top news guy that set the internet on fire and not in a good way.

Ehhh, what did HE say? There are many people not impressed with the site for many reasons (which is the same on every forum). It would have been helpful to link the video or something.....

I mean, I don't care much either, it is Jay... but, in previous videos I know he referenced them without being disparaging.

I see people above mention the news... it is likely about the whole GNexus fiasco and BS news (again...) that had TPUs and bt's balls in a vice.... did you miss that debacle?

Apologies, I wasn't sure if asking about this would get thread deleted or something so never bothered too much about it..

Here's the full video link

Time stamp when he mentions TPU...

I hope this makes a little more sense :)
I think I must have missed something @EarthDog, I just caught it in passing so I was a little surprised by it, hence the thread :)

I mean, you posted the thread... so the cat was already out of the bag, lol....

Anyway, that video was published 11/5 so it was after the shitstorm TPU created for itself a couple of weeks back... so I would guess that mention is in reference to it.

Cool. Yeah, I didn't watch the video/link. ;)

Jay took the "news" article here on TPU as an affront to his integrity. Up until that time, he was very TPU friendly, often referencing TPU and using GPU_z.

Jay and Steve are buddies and have appeared in each others videos several times. I'm sure it was a "I got your back" type comment.

I find Jay similar to Steve, they have good things to say but stay on topic as well as my four old telling me story about her day. I prefer the articles on the GN web site over the videos.

100k views of Steve playing with his hair, starting and stopping in the middle of his rants, and 23 minutes long!

I have a few choice words in my opinion of youtube tech enthusiasts. But, as the saying goes - got nothing nice to say; dont say anything at all.

Anyway, does it matter? Has this JayZ created software useful for all computer techs? No? Then who cares. TPU has with the software available on its site. So I have more respect for this site. Cant say I have full respect for everyone on the forums, but overall, site is good.

I can't stand when people (either male or female) allow their hair to interfere with their work. I haven't watched a GN video in a long time, specifically because of the hair play.

If I still had hair, I'd love it like a rodeo. And I don't even know what that means. All I know is this: once I had Steve's hair; now I look like a potato wearing glasses. (Cue Mr Potato Head image). :D
