Temp and Fan speeds???

I have recently upgraded to a radeon x800xl. It is installed in my tower with only the stock fan that comes on the card. What do you guys recommend for average temps and fan speeds????

I put it so when your above 60 or so your fans runs as a 100%. And the rest I assign accordinly. I have mine something like this...

30C above 50%
40C above 60%
45C above 70%
50C above 80%
55C above 90%
60C above 100%

Thats mine, can't say what they are exactly cause I am not home atm... :rolleyes: But the hottest my card gets is around 65C, so I have my card running a 100% fan speed when it hits 60C.

I leave mine on the bios default and it hits 76 max playing bf2, or on atitools 3d view. Which I have no probs with.

If you ask me people get too stressed about high temps, if the card plays your fav. game perfectly then what's the prob. Maybe it'll last a couple of extra years but it'll need upgrading by then anyway!

What are the speeds for bios default...thats one reason why this post got started in the first place. I reset some speeds and did not take note of the default ones cause of the reset feature....however, once you change the speeds you cant go back to the default settings
