Well those that frequent “What Are You Playing?” will know I finished this game already. What is amazing though is just how GOOD of a use of the Terminator license it was. These devs are total fans.

Nothing is new or groundbreaking in the gameplay and the graphics are average. Idle animations and pretty much all non-combat animations for humans are laughable. The dialogs are pretty good, though, and the game is faithful to the films and to the Terminator Universe.

When put together, the sum of the parts far exceeds what I and probably you thought it could be. The finished product is just plain FUN! This video review though, gives a much better spoken viewpoint on what it is than I can.

it was a spontaneous buy, and probably the most fun I have had on that kind of purchase since The Valley a fee years ago.

I quite enjoyed myself with Terminator: Resistance. I was expecting it to be bad knowing how licensed games normally are. But I was very surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It's not the best, but its definitely not bad.
It is not that long though, which is a bit disappointing. And I find it to be a bit too easy considoring what your up against in the game but eh, I had fun with it.

Terminator: Resistance

I thought I had possibly found a diamond in the rough when I added it to my wishlist back in February. To be honest, I thought I was probably the only person in the world still interested in taking a look at it. I was quite surprised to see this thread...I actually had to go back to my wishlist and double check the title. You beat me to the game, but I'm quite appreciative that you're confirming my suspicions. As you know, these are the type of games I'm always on the hunt for...:).

I've been keeping my eye on it ever since and(so far) Steam has been rather stingy about putting this title on sale.

Best,

Liquid Cool

You should all know there is a new free DLC single mission for this game.

You get to play as a T-800, Cyberdyne Systems model 101, infiltration unit, like you probably all dreamed of, as kids.
I didn’t know that! Time to check it out again.

Don't know about Rambo. The material source is very hard to work with.

Terminator Resistance is the best video game produced in the Terminator franchise. This one, T2 Arcade game, and Future Shock was OK too.

Future Shock, now there's an old title. I think it ran under DOS too. I believe the developers claimed it was the first 3D game engine and maybe the first to have driveable/flyable vehicles.

I like the way they stole the Terminator's vision. Authentic.

And by the way, the resistance enemies shout "F*** you! as*hole", which is a quote from the 1st movie.

There are plenty of other references in the game, like the dog's name Max and Wolfy.

I like the fake assembly code in that screen cap of Terminator Resistance. MOV DS, AX is straight out of 8086/8088 assembly, a 16-bit move to the data segment from the accumulator. So is the terminator running a 16-bit processor? I hope it's not using DOS.
