testing for artifacts

I have 2xHD4850s and i'm getting artifacts my temps never go above 45c what can i use to test artifacts since ati tool doesn't work on the 4k series

furmark. I swear up and down based on personal experiance that is the most gpu intensive program you will ever run. Crysis doesn't come anywhere close. Make sure when the furmark window opens that you select stability test instead of benchmarking, select your monitor's native resolution, tick the "Xtreme burning mode" box, tick the post processing box and run 16xmsaa. After a few minutes you'll know if you have artifacts or not. It also has a nice temp sensor graph thing that has been very helpful to me. It pushed my 9800gt to 105c before but that was when I did a crappy thermal paste application. Today I get 68c max.

furmark actually pushes cards past their limit - its a spot on tool for finding instabilities of and description.

thanks to furmark I realized that I suck at spreading thermal paste... 105c spreading it with my finger in a sandwich bag, 68c by dropping a small blob on the gpu die and letting pressure do the work. I appear to be braver than most men because the paste I use is electrically conductive... but I know how much thermal paste to use

Here's an example of Furmark's power (can't believe I forgot to mention this)
When I run the gpu client for F@H, gpu-z reports my gpu die to be at 56c-60c depending on the work unit and ambient temps. However the first time I ran Furmark I got it to fluctuate betwen 71c and 72c. As the thermal paste settled more and ambient temps came down (we had a cold front pass not too long ago) I now get 68*c in Furmark.
