This guy claims this is the Avenger but it looks like a watered down version of what I was expecting. No DDR3 and it doesnt have AVENGER stamped in the heatsync.... if this thing is $230 the legit Avenger much be pricey.

If either or both of them are still PCIe v1.1 then AGP x8 = PCIe x8.

Actually, AGP x8 is about 10% faster than PCIe x8 for GPU tasks (One way communication). A small number, therefore moot.

You might be right, but I think the key to good XF performance is to use P45,X38,X48 and 1 gig cards, cause even a 4850 1 gig will beat a 4870 512 at hi-res on some games.....probably Crysis, Grid and maybe StalkerCS.
