After Gigabyte introduced their iRam a company called Texas Memory Systems introduces a bigger RAMdisk. Perhaps "bigger" is just an understatement though, the Tera-RamSan as it's called scales up to 1 TeraByte of DDR and offers 24GB/s bandwidth via fiberchannel.
To keep data safe it has triple battery back-up per memory blade and whenever power is lost the data is written to several harddisks before power runs out.
To keep us mainstream people away it is priced at over one million US dollars and uses 3.2 kilowatts. I guess we have to stick with normal harddisks for the time being.

3.2kw? Thats insane. I wander how many companies will actually ever need to buy one of those things. I'm pretty sure we won't be able to get a review sample! :D
