Two weeks ago we linked to a report at AnandTech which dealt with power issues of Antec power supplies and Tyan mainboards. Now the corresponding companies formed an alliance and made investigations to to get to the bottom of this story. They responded in form of a 5 fact sheet that in short represents a request to retract the story and apologize for it.
The source behind the first story is Monarch Computer Systems it seems. Obviously they ran into problems with the aforementioned combination of mainboard and power supply and asked Antec if they knew anything about it. Afterwards they contacted AnandTech in order to confirm the failures. AnandTech did so and the rest is history.
Now let's be keen on the outcome and until this happens let's buy power supplies from PCP&C and mainboards from Iwill.
