The cheapest 2000Mhz 6GB Kit on newegg

A friend of mine asked for my advice, and I found this kit to be cheaper than slower kits from patriot and other brands. Hope this helps other people.

Yeah, my friend wanted a 12GB kit and I recommended he buys 2 of these! I bought my 6GB 1600mhz for around 230 USD not 10 months ago and now 250 USD can get you a 12GB of 2000Mhz memory!

with the 2400 kit, you just got to be sure you can run that speed, otherwise, say for the X58, it might be a waste. If you are on a P55 with an 860/870 I highly recommend those and the Gskill Tridents I had before them

I just bought Corsair Dominator 6GB kit, 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 2T XMP for 140 EUR. As i don't need anything extreme, i just set them to 8-8-8-20 1T and cranked up the QPI from 4800 to 7600 and something. I like the looks, massive coolers and i simply trust the Corsair brand regardless of what kind of chips are actually underneath the cooler. And so far i'm happy. No more retarded system crashing, no more freezes and lockups

I always thought that corsair ram kits are overpriced, I know they look cool and it's a trusted brand, but there are other good brands that give you more bang for your buck. When I put together my system, this kit was the sweet spot and I liked/still like the low voltage it requires, this makes feel my CPU is safe with the vram so far from the maximum limit. I OCed them mildly (see my specs) and I'm sure they have more OCing headroom but I don't see the need to push it.

I don't care, i was so sick and tired of constant system instability and crashes that i even wanted to sell the entire damn system. So paying a bit extra for RAM was the least of the problem. And from what i see it now, it was worth it. Second day and not a single lock up or crash.
But yeah, i wouldn't mind these Vipers even for 125 EUR.
