Hard to say for sure. But there is something going on. I've also noticed low frame rates when changing resolution. For me, cleaning the cache seems to restore the lost performance. Once the cache is cleaned out the game loads faster and, there is no pausing when attempting to enter "load save point" section of the game. These aren't "game breakers" but having played this game a few times I've found some issues that needs to be addressed.the snow levels had excessively high particles, which are CPU driven.
Is it possible for the dual core support, buggy as it is to screw up in windowed mode?
