ModernStoryteller, the guy who made one of the most innovative mods for Skyrim, and the only mod maker to win The Writer’s Guild award for his effort, is releasing a game based on it.

The game is improved in many ways and not part of the Skyrim universe. It is a separate, reimagined game!

I never got around to playing the mod, so when I heard at E3 awhile back that he was making this, I thought I probably made the better choice. Maybe it'd be good to play a standalone game with a fresh mind.

I don’t know, the mod is absolutely fantastic. It’s a must have in any load order. You really should try it! Trust me, to successfully and cleanly change the past for these people is almost impossible. I was able to partially fix and then found my way back out of that time portal.

There is so much that could have been done differently, and then with him improving, I don’t think you would be hurting anything playing the mod. The writing and storytelling is just too good to let it wait for the game!

tbh I only downloaded visual enhancement, weapon and gameplay mods for skyrim might give this a go...is it available at nexus?

The last I knew it was available there. I hadn’t looked recently and am on phone only today.

It's available on the Nexus.

There are a lot of bad quest mods though (I mean, REALLY bad).. so don't be misled by the few good ones (Beyond Skyrim: Bruma is another good one.. and anything by Trainwiz).

There’s also a lot of REALLY good ones. I’ve doubled the amount of things I can do in the game. Just the sheer volume of quest and other land mods guaranteed there are tons of good ones.

Anyway, back to this game. As I first watched the trailer I thought “someone ripped off a mod, name and all!” I was ready to do some public shaming, LOL.

Then I went to the community discussion and realized “nope, the creator is redoing it as a game. Good for him!”

What is the difference between that mod and enderal? I need to reinstall Skyrim and start playing these mods...I need someone to go to work for me and help the wife with the kids so I have more gaming time

Enteral is a total remake mod into a completely different game as I understand it...not for me.

ForgottenCity mod is one very good quest within Skyrim that takes youabout 7-10 hours.

Yeah, Enderal is basically it's own game.. not even Skyrim. It just uses the engine (Same guys made it's prequel.. the Oblivion based title - Nehrim).
