Not like communism has anything to do with freedom of speech.

Anywho; I vote for DDR 3. It simply goes like that in pre-built machines. If you buy a centrine 2 laptop today you'll have DDR3 in it and once Core i5/i7 establish themselves, there is no way around DDR 3... I also see DDR 3 becoming cheper than DDR 2,same as with CPUs--> smaller manufacutring and simply because it'll start selling better.

USB 3 is still a year off, but I'm sure it will establish itself a lot faster than DDR 3 or SSDs (in terms of time on the market needed). Still, it will be the last one to establish itself, simply because it will only be released next year... :eek:

For future reference: If you'r obviously at fault (even if only because of a misunderstanding), you'd better give it a rest. What you are doing is fueling the fire, which won't help you one bit in a half-ways decent discussion.

PS.: What Soviets did in the name of communism is indeed a sad piece of history and communism as a system really only seems to work on paper. But what prohibits freedom of speech is neither communism nor capitalism, but dictatorship or other totalitary regimes.

seriously? what is wrong with you guys. Lets compare the differences between DDR2 vs DDR3 and SSD vs Class 3 magnetic storage. USB 3.0 vs 2.0 would be better than a DDR3 upgrade in comparison. WoW.

EDIT: misread OP, thought it meant which one you would like to SEE become mainstream, not which one will. DDR3 of course, isn't it common sense?

I was posting you the forum guidelines, if you want to check at the top of the section thats what it has. I was not stating you were swearing at all, but "be polite" is what I was hinting at and to be on topic. You can go read the forum guidelines if you like, but I'm pretty sure they didn't write the guidelines to bash you.

Yeah DDR3 got a big jump, it won't be long till SATA catches up though, as it will most likely start coming on all mobos and will just become the standard HDD speed in a bit.

As we shift all our systems to it.

DDR3 = Manditory on the new gen AMD platforms as well as the Intel platforms.

SSD and USB3 is still an Option / luxury.
