I'm interested in trying UE 5 engine games or tech demos to see how bad they run on my system and such especially since 1070 seems to be the minimum req. :laugh:

I already bought CAT Interstellar: Recast for this very reason.
Did the same when UE 4 was new and tried some early Indie games with it.

This demo gave me a borderline console-ish experience around 30 FPS but at least it was pretty, I guess somewhat early UE 5 AAA games could be playable with enough tweaks and maybe some optimization/game ready drivers.
Too bad there are no settings so idk what it ran at, unless I'm blind and can't find it.

Hmm, interested what people can do with this... I've seen RE1 mansion done with UE4 and it looks hella great, just wondering that can they make it look even better?

The rendered scene looks amazing. But the movement of the firefly and gameplay is absolute rubbish. And laggy! Very uninspiring. Gave up watching after 90 secs… flicked forward, didnt seem much better. Oh, and the music/sound effects? It’s worse than xbox console rubbish from 10 years ago.

Its not really meant to be a gameplay experience more like a playable engine techdemo.

Does the rendered scene look that amazing?

I saw a lot of cheap specular effects (a table looking like metal or in perfect polish..., first few seconds of play in the corridor - newer games do this already and it looks so weird... The Outer Worlds has that effect on almost every surface, yes including vegetation.) and bland textures, oversaturated and overly bright surfaces with no definition, and in close proximity textures where a blurry mess even if the scene was super restricted.

And collecting orbs... great. Too bad they weren't even a proper light source. Shadows or lighting? This was a cheap sparkly thing we had since 1999... Once you start looking at that you notice the details are very different for each part of the run, up to and including the texture resolutions. Once you go little bug you get the lighting you'd expect from those orbs.

Totally unimpressing... The stutter sealed the deal. That wasn't micro... damn.

The Japanese language does not have the "tra" syllable or pronunciation so the Japanese would make it "to" + "ra" to make it pronouncable in their tongue. If you've ever been to Japan and rack up some credit card charges, you will see some amusing Romanized spellings on your statement.

Anyhow, this isn't a game, it's a technology demonstration. I don't care too much for the firefly movement style but hey, that's the developer's choice.
