Yeah, sure all notebooks will be handy and powerfull. and those chips in our bodies will be for me big threat for our security. Imagine that chip that you have with all your personal informations can be readed by someone else with some handy chip reader.
I wouldnt agree with that. But smaller and more powerful notebook - looking forward to it.

Half the stuff in that article is already being done in some fashion or other. People have been implanted with microchips, (more for identification at this point than anything else), but combine that chip with, say, a GSM cellphone that already can be used as a debit card for vending machines, or with the chip on current passports, or with Google now testing putting people's medical history in cyberspace. We already have cheap-to-buy fingerprint access for computers.

Ever since OBDII was put on cars, it's been possible to connect one more wire to let government or whoever would want to see what your car's computer sees ala OnStar, lower the rev limit on your car to reduce your speed to pull you over, let the DMV instantly send you a fix-it ticket when your check engine light comes on for emissions....

You can already modify a Wii controller to let you see your screen in true 3D, allowing you to look behind on-screen objects when you move your head to the side, to manipulate windows and presentations with your hands like in Minority Report, etc.

Interesting article, but nothing all that new. A lot of that stuff is already currently available. It just hasn't reached easy-and-cheap consumer status.
