The return of Mechwarrior?

I hope they do add some MekTek content although I doubt they will. PPC+CAP was one of my favorites.

If it's a console port I wont play it. There should be at least 20 buttons to use. Fire Groups, Radar on/off, shutdown,powerup,set speeds,radar range,jump jets..It needs to be they same simulator FPS game that it always has been.

I can guarantee it won't be PC exclusive looking at their repertoire (PS3, XB360, PSP, DS). It actually might not be released on PC at all.

What I really don't get is how they would have even aquired the FASA trademarks. I think, officially, it has nothing to do with the Mech series. More likely, it is a spin off of Transformers which they launched not too long ago. This could be their next project...

Digging deeper, most of their heritage is in a "Jarhead Games" which released 12 PC titles. Maybe they aren't clueless as to PC developement but, that still doesn't explain how they would have gotten the licence which appears to be currently held by Smith & Tinker under license from Microsoft.

Indeed, the two stars collide...but, that doesn't make sense. Microsoft holds the IP, not Smith & Tinker. Microsoft would be the ones striking up deals, not Smith & Tinker. Why would Smith & Tinker be signing a developer when they aren't the publisher? I can't believe Microsoft would sell the IP, only license it.

Low costs. They are Canadian after all.


As for the gas powered car, there's nothing saying its definitively a gas engine. Could just be a 'retro' styled vehicle, or perhaps someones prized antique.

Also, is it bad I can recite the Mechwarrior 3 intro off by heart.

Hey, small studios can still do amazing work, and they give it without getting paid the 'we're a big name fee' so it could all work out alright. I'm mainly worried about the console / PC thing.

I am going to get this in while I can. I only placed MechWarrior at Dave & Busters. I was actually pretty good at it, but that is because I was a fan of Armored Core (let the hate begin). I missed the entire Giant Robot genre and I am glad to see it returning.

Mech Warrior is a PC game at the core. They better not fail us or there will be HELL TO PAY

Rotating Autocannons FTW! i used 5 in a daishi, and clearly cut a flea to pieces... in 15 seconds. with infinite ammo youre quite immortal, they hit at even 1000m, like the PPC

I would love Mechwarrior 5, waiting for it since i ended MW4 (the 10th time)

Mechwarrior with Cry2/Dunia Engine would be veeeery nice. Fully animated, blinking mech-cockpits, massive, beutiful shaded Laser and Particle Beams, Armor that gets ripped of gigantic War Robots, leaving only the blank ferro fibrous skeleton, and its Fusion Reactor going critical with a sunbright explosion.... tons of LRM forming the Landscape, destroying nearly everything, and...... MELEE WEAPONS PLEASE!!! I wanna play a Tomahawk... the ugly, unclannish way... wouldn´t that be nice, quiaff?

But I hope they dont use Physx, that would be a real pain in the ass.
