I found my screen hurt my eyes when I was browsing the website for a long time. I also found the white background that it hurts my eyes too. Could you recommend any lamp for avoiding these issue?

Use something like RedShift in Linux or Night Shift in OS X. It alters the gamma curve to limit the amount of blue light the display emits between dusk and dawn. If you have displays like mine that can get bright enough to burn holes in your retinas, you should consider turning the brightness down as well.

type "night light" in windows search bar and setting will pop up, turn it on, you can also reduce screen brightness on monitor settings, also many browsers like mozzila or google have plugin thats called dark mode, whic makes most websites black color instead of white, whic helps ton, theres also bluelight sunglasses that u can wear, and there is golden rule: every 20 minutes look away from screen for 20 seconds to release tension from eye muscles

dark mode is amazing on all platforms - if you're using regular chrome, use a black theme since they have no dark mode.

Otherwise, tweak the monitor settings - low blue light mode, lower brightness/contrast, brighter room around you... lots of tricks that can help

If I turn the screen to black mode, it will hurt my eyes seriously. I turn the dark mode, my eyes have been comfortable when I was browsing website site which was appearing white background. I decided to buy a lamp, just considering the action should I take or not? No idea.

Dark mode or blue light glasses thing.
I have already tried in my way but no result.

I was actually thinking earlier about making a thread requesting a dark mode
This is a new thread about how to protect your eyes. You come a right place.

Use something like RedShift in Linux or Night Shift in OS X. It alters the gamma curve to limit the amount of blue light the display emits between dusk and dawn. If you have displays like mine that can get bright enough to burn holes in your retinas, you should consider turning the brightness down as well.
Horrible, hurt your eyes and to burn holes in your retains. It is horrible.

Some web browsers have the option built in. Using iCabMobile on the iPhone.

It's good and nice. However, when you were browsing the site for a long time under black mode, and then watch other views, you will find your eyes burn and pain at the same time.

Windows also has a built in night mode under the display settings. You can also see if your monitor has a built in blue light filter in the OSD
I have tried to turn the mode on, my screen has been yellow color and warm. I find that hurt my eyes too.

That's already been brought up in Comments and Feedback thread.

You suggestion about using the computer 20 minutes and take a rest for around 1 minutes. That's great. This is my way to do it. Thank you!

What monitor do you currently have?
LG

Why the contrast will hurt your eyes? i think the brightness wll my eyes seriously.
contrast is the difference between the brighest and the darkest, in high contrast you gonna have the darkest for black and the brightest for white color, adjusting the contrast may help your eyes when you spend hours in front of monitor,
while brightness is pushing the bright for both the dark color and the bright color, if you bump up the brightness you gonna make the dark color brighter and so the white color get brighter

some prefer high contrast coz it's fine for them but for some may not, coz each one is different and different brands may have different setting too

Im also using f.lux like years now. I prefer it over Win night mode. Except that you can set 2 levels of warm light you can also set it to disable when going full screen (video/movies and gaming)

^^^THIS^^^

But also, what about your ambient (room) lighting? If you watch in a dark room, you may need to lower your monitor brightness and adjust your contrast settings. Or, increase your room lighting. Or both.

You may also need to turn down your blue lighting as blue light tends to bother us humans - in fact, it is a leading cause of sleep issues, or rather "falling to sleep" issues and why many recommend stop using all display devices (computer monitors, TVs, smart phones) 1 hour before bed - and don't watch TV in bed before trying to go to sleep.

Last, I would strongly urge you to talk to and have your eyes professionally checked by an eye doctor. You may have an abnormal sensitivity that needs to be medically addressed. And that could simply mean a special pair of computer glasses that include filtering.

I think his point is that TPU doesn't support dark mode when more and more sites are following whatever the OS is setup to use, it's starting to become desired if not expected. Having a Mac, my theme switches with the time of day and I like it. A lot of applications jive with it, but some websites don't and they are brighter than everything else. So, I do think that it's a valid complaint to some degree. I think it's also important to point out that W1zz is only one guy.

I have been using gaming glasses for the past 5 years and now I can't use the computer for more than 15 minutes without them.
With gaming glasses like the Gunnar I usually play game like 8 hours straight without feeling eyestrain.

Dark mode only help a little, not as much as those gaming glasses.
