The ROG vega64 is $1000 iirc on newegg, or newegg business. Its a 3 fan model iirc. but with a (non mining) MSRP of around $500+ (from what i saw searching MSRP) it doesnt seem like a very good deal.. im SO glad i have no issues waiting for these laughable prices to drop.
I'm happy as hell that I jumped when I saw a 1070 for only $425 last December, in stock at a local BB. I didn't even have to wait on shipping. Same card is now listed at $680 at BB.

In Nov 2017, I snagged a Vega 64 at $499 from Microcenter. A few weeks later, sold it on eBay for $920. Similar story with 2x 1060's, 1x 1070 and another Vega 64. Yep, I'm one of those ass-hats

current best prices on PNY 1080ti call your local Staples store to see if they have it in stock... They have them for $729 and 1080's for $649...

My local Staples has 1..... If it's still there when I get out of work..... Is mine
Even though I'm completely happy with my Aorus 1070ti... Which has gone up in price by $249 from where I bought it....crazy

Yeah, I should have done the same with the 1070. Damn it, it didn't even occur to me at the time. I could have made so much money (few grand).

Well... I went and bought the pair! I will list my Aorus 1070 Ti tonight, and then the 1060 6GB when it arrives Friday. That'll put about $1k back in my account.

Assuming the Vega 64 is all good, I'm keeping her. I miss my Free-sync badly!

The good news- availability of nearly all models is way up!

The bad news- prices are still running about 20-25% higher than before the last shortage (it is an improvement though)

Maybe, but I think it's mostly due to the abysmal mining profits as of late. There's probably not many new players or even current players looking to gobble up more cards right now. The whole crypto market is taking a beating right now, and if I was really seriously in it, I'd be awfully apprehensive about spending on more hardware right now.

That's 100% correct. the mining difficulty trend over the past 4 months or so shows why things are getting better for enthusiasts and gamers. Values are also sloping down, with obvious spikes and drops, but downward trend none the less. certain coins will of course have a good period, while others flop & Vice Versa, but the "honeymoon" is over, and the romance is dying, along with the dreams of early retirement on the backs of GPU's. lets just hope minings effect on the rest of us dies out, and this thread will have served its purpose ;)

$620 for a triple fan Gigabyte GTX 1080 was one of the "better" prices i saw today.*Backorder w/ 3-5 day ship time*

I still wouldnt buy, IMO they will drop more in the next few weeks.

We’ve still got a littleways to go. For example, MSI GTX 1060 6gb Gaming X available at Newegg for $379. IIRC it was released at right around or just under $300.00.

Apparently, the flood of used mining cards has begun. It was tough to find anything under $850 just a few weeks ago. These are recently sold items on FleaBay:

Here's hoping a new Vega gets cheap by the summer. I won't bring myself to buy used.

Idk, odds are there will be nothing wrong with used. If you keep that option open you’ll be pleasantly surprised. You just have to be careful. If you buy off TPU then odds are even higher it will be in great condition.

I went from a new set of GTX 660's to a USED 770, which I then sold for a used 780ti. All perfectly fine cards, I then sold the 780ti for 220 EUR to discount off the 1080.

Its a really good way to trade up over the years for a minor investment and stay current doing it all the way.

I have bought and sold several video cards, PSUs, CPUs, motherboards, RAM sets, cases, and various drives (HHD and SSD) in TPU's B/S/T forum. I have never had an issues with any hardware I have gotten, and I have never gotten a complaint about anything I have sold. You just got to make sure you check out seller reviews of people before buying from them. And you always get a better price than buying brand new.

The second 290x I purchased was used, got it after the first GPU/mining bubble, first one was brand new. Never could tell the difference between the two.

That said, I do often hear about HBM being sensitive from taking a beating

Looks like the climate is working towards a less ridiculous pricing for the rest of us working humans with a budget, or that arent looking to rack up credit card debt for a video card.

Still have around $130'ish to go, but its definitely getting there, as i said a month or so ago... , hang in there, its coming soon ;)

GTX 1070 Zotac dual Fan "mini" 8Gb $530 in stock.
personally, id wait until the prices are actually in the hundred position they should be in respectively, but atleast its under 50% over charge now.

the 1070's should be in the $400 range
the 1080's should be in the $500 range

thats where they where in 2017, when we see those prices again, we will know this nightmare is over (even if only temporarily)

Also, 3 fan Gigabyte GTX 1070ti @ $540 !! with promo code EMCXPTPU2 on newegg

$510 for this 1070ti on newegg no promo needed

Great prices considering the climate we are in, I don't exactly recall what the 1070 TI costed before all this insanity started ,but if the base 1070 was $420+ ,this can't be that far off from its original MSRP

For our UK members, theres an even better deal on UKnewegg, for a Gaming SC EVGA 1070ti for €427

If a 1080Ti is at most 465, 1080 380-410, 1070ti 350-370, 1070 315-335, 1060ti 6GB 270-295, 1060 6GB 230-255,1050ti 200-220, 1050 160-180, would be decent prices. Same with 540, 550, 560, 570, 580, V56, V64.

I have a 1080 SC, but I kinda wanna try out the Vega 64 to play with it just because I haven't had an AMD gpu in a while. The pricing is a bit annoying yet still on it though.
