In this current era of GPU scarcity and/or high prices I thought it would be a good idea for members to share where one get a decent deal on the cards currently in demand.

Miner/Gamer hate will not be tolerated in this thread- go there/get an infraction.... simple as that

Massdrop and only if you're not in a hurry. Got my Aorus 1080ti from them, before Christmas, for $679 shipped. You will have to create an account in order to see the current deals or "drops" as they would call them.

Got lucky the last time I went there later in Nov... got a Vega 64 for $499 (...plus MA tax :shadedshu:

) Never looked for vid cards before that. And I've bought 3 CPUs and 2 motherboards there.

I don't think "good deal" and video cards go together anymore. Even manufacturers are overpricing. https://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=0

Here's to hoping AMD and Nvidia put in a lot of orders for new cards. Supply needs to catch up with demand. Even then, most likely any stock of new cards that come in will be sold immediately.

Again like I posted in that thread. They have changed that. It has moved to a closer to MSRP situation with an ID verified one GPU per household situation.

Yeah processors and motherboards are 100% amazing deal at Micro Center. I've even gotten lucky on ram, a power supply, a case, a CPU cooler. But every time I've been there the video cards were either price too high for the selection was dog Doodoo.

Which reminds me ,as a public service, if I ever happen to be going to Micro Center, I'll be sure to post ahead of time ,in case anyone needs something I'm not buying, because they only allow one item per home address, or something like that.

On a serious note, I see broken GPU'S going for working prices on flee bay(its crazy), I was thinking of trying to pick up a borked flashed card to save a few K dollars.............Aint happening there!!!

I noticed that as well, card pricing and 2nd card pricing (SLI/Crossfire options) wasn't all that bad when I checked them out at Dell and Cyberpower (maybe 10% markup).... Dell even had Vega 64's available.

Seems that the system builders have a decent supply

I'm in the same boat. Normally with any component ,what I do is I shop them (if I know I'll have funds I can put towards it) .Once I find a decent deal, I speak to my wife, and then I alot the money for it ,and make the purchase. Normally takes a day or two.

This market is more conducive to someone who has the money sitting there waiting to be spent (which generally if I'm in a position like that, it gets spent) :rolleyes:

I myself (general rule not always followed) don't like spending more then I have to for something.

Then there is the compatibility issue. Depending if the system is pre-built or BYO there is a question of parts. If your just picking and choosing IHV parts then its better due to the likely hood they will be bought but if the system is different OEM there could be issues. That person ends up spending X amount on it not knowing he wont be able to offload the parts or becomes extremely more difficult. All in an effort to get a single part.
