Has anyone played THE WITCHER ?
I would like to know what you think about the game, or if you had any problems, bugs, etc with it, because I ´m thinking about buying it!

what kind of bugs?

You do know there's a patch out for it ?. I only played the demo did not think it was all that. I had seen some glitches and stuff but you have a different v card. No crashes though

Yeah, I was looking for a new good RPG games, something like Oblivion....

Downloaded the Demo... Installed it...... played the game for 3 minutes..... Uninstalled it.

Thats just me, i'm sure other people love it..

It seems that reading magazine reviews is not really worth it... most reviews I read gave it 7/10+ , but now I don´t know what to believe.... I think i´ll download the demo and give it a go...
Anyway I think is something between oblivion and titan quest... and I loved oblivion - hated titan quest...

I downloaded the demo expecting a oblivion esq game and well I was seriously dissapointed.

Despite maxing everything out in the game and with 16xQ AA 16xAF the game looks pants (8800GTX), textures are awful (the ground textures were almost laughable), the depth of field is just a blur and the character models are a joke.

The 'combat' was laughable. All I could get the character to do was run about with his sword above his head randomly hitting things.

To top it off the voice acting was also terrible.

The full game may be better but going purely from the demo it was pants.

i loved oblivion too. spent 200+ hour in oblivion
but The Witcher is awesome worth buy

Good idea.

I'd only like to say one thing - plz, do not vote after playing demo/non-legal version and don't have any idea about the story (f.e. on some game reviews site an author wrote, that The Witcher is wack becouse of... lack of character/proffesion choice! Gosh...).

i get a system crash in xp and vista, my laptop and pc are pretty highend so its not my systems fault even with the latest patches though its still a fun game i would play it a lot more if it wasnt for that, as for the combat system i like it, its different and inovative, its not just your standard hack 'n slash

on my laptop it happens around an hour and a half, on my xp pc tho im not sure if its the games fault based on the fact that i have been having power supply problems so i think that may be the cause of it, ill let you know once i get my pc up and running again

I installed this game and played for about a half-hour then unistalled it..

I heard once you get to Chapter 2 it gets to be alot of fun, but I never gave it the chance. Just didn't like the feel..

I like the combat system, I didnt incounter any bugs while playing, and also i have the legal version but the illigal one is the same thing as the legal just not legal. But i highly recommend this game to those who like new things and love rpg-ish type games,

I spent over 300 hours on oblivion, that was before i heard of X-fire =[

I dont like the combat system. It is not real-time. you click and it will auto attack kindda like mmos but a bit different. I expect it to be real-time combat hackNslash.

The sound effect of the sword attack are not that strong like Beowulf.

It has robotic facial.

Love the sexuality

Overall Visuals are soso but technically highly advanced

I like Beowulf more.
