I recently picked up a used 8gig Sapphire RX 480 Nitro SKU# 11260-20 off of Ebay. Using the info I found here in the forums I was able to fix the Error 43 by flashing back to the stock bios. Thanks you for having this information as well as the tools and Bios Rom file necessary for this. Kudos to the crew.
The only remaining problem is the card was running hot causing the fan noise to be unbearable when stressed. I took the card apart and replaced the TIM with Gelid Extreme (the best TIM I have at the moment) but noticed that the pads over the memory, vrms, etc. appear to be drying out and are quite smushed/indented. That leads me to believe that replacing them would be a good idea. My problem is how do I determine what thickness I should use? I see .5, 1.0, 1.5, etc. and don't have any measuring devices accurate enough to to measure that precisely. I'm thinking either Fujipoly or Thermal Grizzly unless you guys think there is a better reasonably priced alternative.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and Thanks In Advance.
